Watered Silk — Style Guide
Internal reference only, not linked from the public site. This is the one place to look when tuning colors, fonts, and spacing — every value here comes from src/styles/tokens.css. Change a token there and it updates everywhere on the real site too.
Background color — "butter"
Four candidate shades below. The page background right now uses the one marked "current default." Pick a favorite (or ask for a different direction entirely) and I'll update --color-bgin tokens.css.
Headings — Bodoni Moda
Heading 1 — The Coast Road to Positano
Heading 2 — Notes from a Slow Train
Heading 3 — A Week in the Dolomites
Body text — Newsreader
The body copy uses a warmer, more readable serif than the heading font, since Bodoni-style faces get fatiguing at long lengths. This paragraph is set at the site's base size and line height, so it should read the way an actual post will read — comfortable at arm's length, not too tight, not too loose. It also carries a link, styled like this, so you can see how it sits inside a run of text.
Pull quote
The market smelled like cardamom and diesel, and somehow both were exactly right.
